It’s that time of year again. A time when many of us sit back and reflect on the journey walked in the year that’s now coming to a close. With a lot of time spent at home for most of the world, it almost seems too soon to be closing down our computers and slowing down our lives, even if only for a short while!
Here at XK, the year has brought us abundant growth within our team, allowing us to expand into new projects. We’ve used 2021 to focus on our transformation and connect with our clients, team and community on deeper levels.
Excellence
Despite the obvious challenges of lockdowns both personally and for the construction industry, we have celebrated the wins of incredible projects, allowing further expansion of demonstrated expertise, and building new collaborative relationships with project partners.
The innovation excellence of our team was acknowledged in the awarding of the CIA Excellence in Concrete Award – Commercial Buildings category for Pallas House. A project where our team applies creative adaptive re-use of the existing building, and achieved the architectural vision to integrate and preserve the unique features of the 70 year old structure.
Stewardship
Our support and participation in industry events such as ACSE Annual Awards, UDIA Awards for Excellence and the WIDAC Christmas Celebration has brought a cheerful closing to our year. Venues were buzzing with the excitement of industry achievements and the sorely missed satisfaction of human connection and contact – worth a celebration in its own right.
People-Centric
It is with great gratitude and acknowledgement of the role our people play in our joy, success and growth that we fare the year 2021 well. With dedicated people working alongside you, it is easy to triumph through challenges.
