Last Friday was the celebration of the very best in urban development across the industry at the UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence.

“The UDIA Awards Ceremony is the perfect blend of celebrating two key areas that are so important in today’s world and something we at Xavier Knight pride ourselves on. That is, celebrating People, both as individuals and as a team, and also celebrating Project Excellence.” Scott Sharma, Principal

“It goes without saying that this is a very special project for the local community. I was moved by the vision of this incredible project which was named after a Bidjigal man, who was a warrior, and a hero to all people throughout the country.” Scott added.

The mixed use development includes affordable housing for 62 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, a world-class boxing gym, commercial and retail space, a gallery, student accommodation, and a childcare centre.

Congratulations again to Deicorp and Aboriginal Housing Company (AHC) for taking home the UDIA NSW Award for Excellence in Urban Renewal. A well-deserved recognition for the delivery of the Pemulwuy Project Redfern in support of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

Another big congratulation to AMP Capital Kylie O’Connor for winning High Commendation – Excellence Urban Renewal for the delivery of Quay Quarter Lanes, the rejuvenation of a city block in the heart of Sydney City at Circular Quay.
