The next stages of Sekisui House Australia’s $1.9 Billion Wentworth Point urban renewal project have started.

With sustainability, community and urban living at the core, the new Sanctuary Masterplan will provide a vibrant mixed-use precinct with approximately 2300 apartments, retail commercial spaces and other community facilities across 20 buildings.

Initially involved in Phases 2, 4 and 6, our structural engineering team is now playing a crucial role in the next stage of the development, Phase 3. Working closely with Sekisui House Australia, and TURNER STUDIO, XK is engineering the project’s three residential towers that stand between 4 and 26-storeys and rise above a 3-level podium and basement.

Our team is making significant contributions that enhance and optimise the project deliverables while honouring the architectural intent and Sekisui House‘s vision for urban renewal development.

In alignment with Sekisui House’s focus on environmental considerations, our engineers developed various Structural and Value Engineering solutions to optimise their project. Solutions delivered include a 70% reduction of transfer columns, facilitating a more sustainable and economical design without any interruption to the architectural vision, and the efficient allocation of columns and lateral stability walls across the buildings.
