Last week, the Xavier Knights battled it out with other bands from the Construction & Property Industry at Construction Rocks Australia held at Oxford Art Factory in Darlinghurst.

In partnership with Property Industry Foundation, Construction Rocks is an annual charity event that calls for organisations from across the construction and property industry to form a band and battle it out on stage. In previous years they have raised thousands of dollars towards building homes for homeless youths while rocking out to classic hits by some very talented colleagues.

An amazing $10,000 was raised at this year’s event and the money will be going towards Property Industry Foundation’s next project, Haven House South Dowling, a State-of-the-art facility with 19 bedrooms for Sydney’s homeless youth.

Our team is committed to the success of this project, so after dedicating resources from our facade team to the Haven House South Dowling design team, we had our structural and civil team on stage. Big Kudos to The Xavier Knights for getting on stage and giving their best, you were awesome! To those that couldn’t make it last week, here’s a little snippet of Have You Ever Seen the Rain by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

“The Xavier Knights were very happy with our performance on the night. We made about as many mistakes as expected but carried our show forward with energy and enthusiasm. We are so grateful to all those who came out to support and have fun with us.” Terry Fong, XK Civil Engineer

Massive congratulations to this year’s winner Higher Ground, for an absolute stellar performance, but also a huge congratulations to everyone that performed, it takes some guts to get up there!

A big Thank you to everyone who contributed to organising such a fun and impactful industry event. We can still support our favourite band by donating to PIF via their band profile page here.
